WordPress built to your design, not a template with your logo on it.

KodebyKarl builds custom WordPress themes, plugins and WooCommerce stores for businesses in the Philippines. Karl has written the PHP behind more than ten live booking websites, and tunes the database, caching and mobile layout so they stay fast.

In short

WordPress is a content management system: it lets your own team edit pages, products and announcements without a developer. A custom build means the theme and the features are made for your business, instead of assembled from a stack of generic plugins.

What you get.

  • Custom themes

Themes built from your design in PHP, HTML, CSS and JavaScript, so the site looks like your brand and loads quickly.

  • Custom plugins and modules

When the business has its own rules, the logic is written as a plugin or a PHP module, such as the booking modules built for the bus companies.

  • WooCommerce stores

Online stores and seat or service reservations, with payment gateways connected and tested with real transactions.

  • Speed tuning

MySQL, caching and page weight tuned for performance, which helps both visitors and search rankings.

  • A clean admin for your team

An editing experience your staff can use, with a walkthrough and notes at handover.

  • Care after launch

A bug warranty of at least 30 days, and an optional monthly retainer for security updates, backups and uptime monitoring.

Proof: ten live booking websites

The booking websites of ALPS The Bus, Cherry Bus Palawan, Ohayami Trans, Elavil Tours, Raymond Transportation, Candon Bus, DLTB Co., Bragais Liner and Isarog Bus were built on WordPress and WooCommerce, with custom PHP booking modules, WooCommerce seat reservations and payment workflows. NextBus PH, which brings many of the operators into one search, is built on the same foundation.

They are used by passengers to reserve seats, so they have to be fast, reliable on a phone and correct about availability.

When WordPress is the right choice, and when it is not

WordPress fits when you want to manage content and sell or take bookings online yourself, and when a mature ecosystem helps. When a project needs more custom logic, such as a subscription platform, real-time features or a complex back office, a purpose-built system in TypeScript, Node.js and PostgreSQL is the better tool. Karl builds both, and will tell you honestly which one your project needs.

How a WordPress project goes

We map the pages and flows first, then design and build the theme, connect booking or payment where needed, and launch with a walkthrough of the admin. A custom business website is typically a three to four week project. You get a fixed quote after a 20-minute discovery call and pay in three milestones, and you own the code once the final payment is made.

Work behind this.

Questions people ask.

Do you build custom WordPress themes?
Yes. Themes are built to your design rather than adapted from a template, with PHP and MySQL tuned for speed.
Can you add custom features with plugins?
Yes. Custom plugins and PHP modules handle business rules the standard plugins cannot, as with the booking modules written for the bus company websites.
Do you build WooCommerce stores?
Yes. WooCommerce stores and reservation systems, with payment gateways such as GCash, PayMongo, Stripe and PayPal.
Can I edit the site myself?
Yes. A WordPress admin walkthrough and notes are part of the handover, so your team can edit content without a developer.
Can you fix or speed up an existing WordPress site?
Often, yes. Karl can audit a system someone else built, troubleshoot bugs and tune slow database queries and performance, and will tell you honestly whether to keep it or rebuild.
