POS and inventory systems built for how your shop runs.

A point of sale that matches your store, not a monthly subscription for features you never open. KodebyKarl builds custom POS and inventory software for businesses in the Philippines, with the receipt printer, the cashier flow and the stock counts working together.

In short

A custom point of sale (POS) system is software for taking sales, printing receipts and keeping track of stock, built around the way your own business works. It replaces the notebook, the spreadsheet or the off-the-shelf app that almost fits.

What you get.

  • Checkout that is fast to learn

A cashier login and a checkout grid laid out for your products, so a new staff member can ring up a sale on the first day.

  • Inventory that updates itself

Every sale lowers the stock count in real time, with low-stock alerts that tell you what to reorder before the shelf is empty.

  • Receipts and records

Sales transactions are logged and receipts are generated for each one, including to thermal receipt printers.

  • Shift auditing

Cashier sessions are recorded, so at closing time you can see who sold what and reconcile the till.

  • Payments your customers use

Cash, plus GCash, PayMongo, Stripe and PayPal where the business needs them.

  • Reports you own

Sales and stock reports on the screen, in a web dashboard you can open from any device. The code is handed over to you at launch.

Why a custom POS instead of an off-the-shelf one

Ready-made POS products work well when your business looks like the average business. Many Philippine shops do not: a pet supply store that sells by the piece and by the bag, a restaurant with its own table flow, a clinic that bills by service. Off-the-shelf software makes you adapt your process to its screens, and charges a monthly fee while you do.

A custom system flips that. The screens follow your process, the reports show the numbers you actually use, and you pay once for a system you own instead of renting one forever.

A real example: RabbitAlley POS

KodebyKarl built RabbitAlley POS for a rabbit supply and pet shop. It has cashier login, a checkout grid, real-time inventory tracking with low-stock reorder alerts, sales transaction logging, receipt generation and shift auditing. It is a full-stack TypeScript system: a React front end on an Express and PostgreSQL back end.

The same building blocks, adjusted to the business, apply to a grocery, a restaurant, a salon or a clinic.

Hardware that connects to the system

A POS is more than a screen. KodebyKarl builds software that talks to the hardware around the counter: thermal receipt printers, QR check-in and NFC cards for loyalty or member verification. Karl also does IT networking and holds Cisco networking certifications.

How long it takes and how you pay

A full point of sale and inventory system is typically a five to seven week project. You get a fixed written quote before any work starts, in pesos or US dollars, and you pay in three milestones: 40% when the contract is signed, 30% when a working build is on a staging site you can try, and the final 30% at sign-off when the system goes live and the code is handed over.

After launch there is a bug warranty of at least 30 days, and an optional monthly retainer for monitoring, backups and small changes.

Work behind this.

Questions people ask.

How much does a custom POS system cost in the Philippines?
It depends on the size of the system, so every project gets a fixed quote after a 20-minute discovery call, listing the deliverables, milestones and timeline. Quotes are in pesos or US dollars.
Can the POS print receipts?
Yes. Receipt generation is part of the system, and it can print to thermal receipt printers.
Does the system track inventory?
Yes. Stock updates in real time as sales are made, with low-stock reorder alerts, so you know what to buy before you run out.
Can it take GCash and card payments?
Yes. Payments through GCash, PayMongo, Stripe and PayPal can be connected where your business needs them.
Who owns the system after it is built?
You do. Ownership of the custom work transfers to you after the final payment, and the code is handed over at launch.
Do you support the POS after launch?
Yes. Every project carries a bug warranty of at least 30 days, and a monthly maintenance retainer is available for uptime monitoring, security updates, backups and small changes.
